Review and Swatches: Makeup Revolution Eyes Like Angels Palette

How excited am I when I heard that Makeup Revolution is now available here in the Philippines!! Although they are only available for puchase online, still they are now accessible! I've seen a lot of reviews of their Dupe palettes for too faced chocolate bar, naked, lorac pro palettes! I didn't purchase any of those because I already own a lot of neutral eye shadows. I chose this palette because it had more fun colors plus a bonus of neutrals.

Price: PHP 890.00

Review: E.L.F. Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal

Looking for highlighter that won't break your budget? Try this liquid highlighter from E.L.F!

I've known this product for years but I just ignored it since I don't know what it is for. (I have no idea in Highlighting/Contouring yet that time. Hahaha.) I saw reviews on eyeslipsface.com and got excited how much they rave about this facial shimmering whip.

May 2015 Favorites! (Makeup, Hair & Pet products)

Hello! I am back with a monthly favorites post. Woaaah! I have been blogging actively for  since March and this is my first time doing this! I hope I can hold on this monthly favorites thing since I always use same products all day everyday hahaha!

These products are what I use mostly during the month of May. Most of them are face products.

Mayebelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation and LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer
I love this combo. You can tell I really liked the Maybelline foundation because I repurchased it!! It is perfect for everyday. I have to review this real soon, I've used it for 2 months already! I use the foundation on the outer parts of my face and the LA Girl concealer onto the center of my face. I top it with my Tiny Buds Rice Baby Powder which is btw not included here just because I use it every single day no matter what the month is. Perfect combo for my oily face. It lasts the whole day on me.

Daiso Makeup Blending Sponge
Have you seen my review of it yet? Check it out here!! You can't miss it  if you're a makeup love/addict like me. hahahaha! It is so freaking soft and bouncy! I actually purchased two more and guess what, this is the last two pieces at the store! It blends my foundation and concealer seamlessly without streaks. I love how fast I apply my makeup base using this vs a brush.

Artist Studio Powder Brush & Beauty Cosmetics Tapered Blending Brush
This powder brush from artist studio is like the best multi-tasking brush ever. The base of it is tapered. I love using this on my under eye area to set the concealer. It fits perfect! It is also great for applying your powder, blush and contour. All-in-1 brush! It is also cheap!! Next is the blending brush from beauty cosmetics. I didn't really like it at first since it is not fluffy enough to blend eyeshadows. But with a light hand, I can make it work! I love using this to apply my transition shade on my crease.

Catrice Matte Bronzer in Deep Bronze and Ever Bilena Blush in Earth
I've used this combo mostly during May. I love the Catrice bronzer, it is matte and super blendable. Then my favorite product from Ever Bilena, their cheek blush in Earth. It is actually a bronzer with fine shimmers. It is peachy-bronze color which is great for summer. They are both long lasting.

The Face Shop Design my Evebrow, Maybelline the Magnum Mascara
Again, long lasting products are a must this summer! The brow product from TFS that lasts for 13 hours without budging! This waterproof mascara from Maybelline is one of my HG products. It volumizes, lengthens, and curls my eyelashes plus it is waterproof.

Shine Moist Conditioner
My mom got this from an event "More than a Hairshow" by Edwin Samot here in our place. This is only 120 pesos and comes in a gigantic amount of product. It smoothens, tames and gives shine to my hair. It also kind of straightens my hair! I don't use any tools on my hair. This gives that straight bouncy look.

Play Pets Odor Eliminator Shampoo with Conditioner
Last but not the least, my baby bear's shampoo. I love it!!!! It smells like the johnson's baby bath. She smells like a real baby and the scent lasts for 4 freaking days!!! Her past shampoo's scent goes away after a day. This one stays put and oh my gosh, when Fia bear walks by I literally smell her baby scent! Hahaha. I can definitely sniff her all day everyday!!

Review: The Face Shop Design my Eyebrow

Hello! I'm back with an eyebrow product review! <3 In the past year, I have been really loyal to my Nichido's Mineral Eye Pencil in Walnut, it is what I am using every single day. It's cheap, long lasting and semi water resistant! I just wanna try new and luckily I saw The Face Shop's BOGO Sale a few weeks ago and this eyebrow product is included! I got two for the price of one. Amazing huh?

The Face Shop Design my Eyebrow

Price: PHP 225.00

Where to buy: The Face Shop stores

How I use it:

I outline first my desired shape. I fill it in lightly then blend with a spoolie.

This is how much product you get. It's a lot since you won't waste anything from sharpening. Just be careful to not twist so much product out during application to prevent breakage.

Spoolie
It comes with a spoolie on the other side. The spoolie is not as soft as I like it to be but it's fine. The spoolie on the shade Grayish Brown is a stiffer than Dark Brown.

Grayish Brown, Dark Brown
In my last haul, I said that I will use the gray one but I don't. I use dark brown instead since the spoolie of it is softer. It doesn't have red or orange undertones. The color looks natural. The consistency of the pencil is not hard nor creamy which I actually like. The pigmentation is average. Although it will be chalky on the first few uses.

What I usually do is outline the shape of my brows, fill it in lightly then blend with the spoolie. This is so easy to use! Plus the angled tip helps a lot in outlining the brows. It is shaped like an angled liner brush! The longevity of this brow product is great! I wore it for 13 hours and it didn't budged at all.

All in all, I think this is a great brow product! It is very similar to Etude House's Drawing Eyebrow which is cheaper than this one.

Let's sum it up!

What I like:

  • No red/orange undertone.
  • Angled tip makes outlining easy and precise.
  • Easy to use.
  • Retractable. No sharpening required.
  • Comes with a lot of product.
  • No waste of product.
  • Has its own spoolie.
  • Long Lasting.
  • Looks natural.
  • Has the right consistency. Not too creamy and not too hard.
  • I got two for the price of one. Hahaha
What I don't:
  • Spoolie is not as soft as I want it to be.
  • A little bit expensive FOR ME. ( Etude house's drawing eyebrow costs only 148 which has same concept as this.)

Will I repurchase? Maybe. If they're having a BOGO Sale again. Hahahaha! I will probably just repurchase the EH since I have also tried that and they're very similar.

Will I recommend it? YES!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you found this review helpful! Have a great day ahead! God bless! :)
